'FAO and UN agencies collaborate to reset food systems to deliver better nutrition in Asia-Pacific'

'In the vast Asia-Pacific region, food systems – the lengthy apparatus that delivers food from farm to fork – is not properly matched to dietary and nutrition requirements for hundreds of millions of people. The region is home to more than 60 percent of the world’s undernourished alongside a growing problem of obesity and overweight citizenry. One in four children is stunted. FAO and WFP, along with WHO, UNICEF and the World Bank are working together with governments, academia, the private sector and civil society to reset our food systems to ensure healthier diets, improved nutrition and to help the region achieve zero hunger by 2030.
