Here we\'re going to show you some of the incredible delivery robots changing how deliveries are done. 1) Dominos Robotic Unit (DRU) DRU is an autonomous four wheeled delivery robot that was built by Domino\'s pizza company in collaboration with an Aussie startup, Marathon Robotics. It has compartments to keep the customer\'s food hot and the drinks cold too. It travels at a safe speed from the store to the customer\'s door. It also has on-board sensors which enable it to perceive obstacles on the way and also avoid them. DRU also accept payments and chat with customers. 2) Starship With a combination of mobile technology, Starship technologies have developed a six wheel robot. It is a little under two feet tall, weighs about 40 pounds empty and can travel four miles per hour. Starship delivery robots are equipped with a sensor suite which includes cameras and GPS. It also possess speakers and microphones so it can communicate with humans. 3) Marble Robot Marble robot, which is a joint project with Yelp’s Eat24, is a semi - autonomous delivery robot. This means that humans will be available to physically help the robot in case of any encountered problem. They use advanced sensors, and high resolutions 3D city maps to guide them through busy urban environments. The orders are placed inside the robot\'s cargo bay, while the customers are texted access codes to unlock the cargo bay and get their orders. 4)Savioke Relay Savioke\'s Relay is an autonomous delivery robot for hospitality and service industries like hotels, hospitals, and restaurants. It has a wheeled platform for moving through floors and elevators to deliver items to customers. It integrates with the customer’s phone GPS which enables it to alert the client of it\'s arrival. 5)ZMP CarriRo The Japanese robot company ZMP in partnership with Ride On Express which is a popular sushi brand has created a little red robot that can hold food for up to 60 people. The box shaped CarriRo delivery robot is 133 cm long and 109 cm high. It can carry loads up to 100kg. This robot can move up to 3.73 miles per hour and also move at a maximum speed of 6 kph. It has little headlights for night time deliveries. 6)Thyssenkrupp Thyssenkrupp Elevator and software developer, TeleRetail, designed a delivery robot that can transport spare parts and other tools to maintenance job sites. With Thyssenkrupp delivery robot, technicians don’t have to drive back to their workshops or stores to get spare parts. The Thyssenkrupp robots can reach inner cities where vehicles can not reach and can carry loads weighing up to 35 kg. The robot, which is 85 cm wide, can travel on sidewalks, this means that Thyssenkrupp robots were designed to avoid road congestions, and reach where they are needed quickly.
