'This is my review of a Kitchen Aid 2.1 Litre food processor in Contour Silver, in this video i film the unboxing, the construction, then give a demo of me using the processor, just to show you how easy it is to use, i\'ve not read the instructions and i\'ve videoed myself using it on the fly, this will prove how easy it is to use for someone who\'s never used this product before, so if you go to use it and have read the instructions you should have no problems at all. First of all I unbox the machine, it\'s well packed and protected in a sheath of polystyrene, which keeps all the accessories safe and sound, so it all arrives damage free. I have a brief look at all the pieces included in the box. Next i attempt to put the machine together without reading the instructions, i don\'t find this hard, personally it seems to be quite simple to put together, the only thing i needed to look up was how to use the adjustable slicing attachment, but after looking at it carefully i should have really figured that out by myself. The base has nice rubber feet which seem to anchor the body to the work surface nicely. You also get two containers, one a 2.1 litre capacity and the other smaller one has a 710ml capacity., The smaller one fits neatly inside the larger one so you can process smaller amounts of food reducing the washing up. There are different attachments, you have a grating attachment, an adjustable slicing attachment, 2 multi use attachments for food processing (Large & small) and finally a plastic dough blade. The 3 in 1 chute can handle most sizes of fruit and veg you can chuck at it, some of the larger veg would need to be cut down to manageable sizes first, I love the small round opening which is ideal for carrots, it comes with a plunger type attachment which means you can push the veg into the chute without risking your fingers. It has 2 speeds and also a pulse function, so you have a nice range of power at your disposal. The whole unit cannot be used if anything is out of place, it all needs to be in it\'s place before it will start, so if you happen to press the power button and nothing happens just look at the safety cut out points to ensure everything is flush and in it\'s place. This just stops you from operating the machine in a dangerous state where you could damage the unit or even yourself. In my demonstration I use carrots to show what it can do, most people know how a processor works, but i\'ve not seen anything like this slicing or grating food, so my carrot victims get sliced and grated with excellent results. First i try a thick cut on the carrot, it chews the carrot up easily on speed 1, then i try speed 2 with the same success. I open the container to inspect the slices and they are all nicely even, ideal for that family member with a little OCD where the veg all has to be uniform size! The second demo is using the grating attachment, i start off using medium then inspect the perfectly grated carrot, then i finish my carroty victim off with a fine grate and yet again with perfect results, Here i only use carrots, but there\'s a wide range of food that you can use with this machine, it\'s going to save you so much time and effort you won\'t know what to do with your newly found spare time! After i stopped filming I was informed by the girl friend that we needed some bread crumbs for a recipe, unfortunately all the video kit was packed away, but i can assure you as with all the other tasks, it glided through the test, giving me perfect bread crumbs for the girlfriends recipe, which earned me numerous brownie points!!! Overall i give this Kitchen Aid food processor five stars, i love it, if i was to give a negative i\'d say errr not much, it\'s does what it says on the tin, it\'s good at what it does so why do i need to find a negative? Well done Kitchen Aid, a brilliant product from a very popular, sought after brand. You also get a 3 year, yes I said 3 year warranty with it, i\'m pretty sure this will be one of those kitchen appliances that last a lifetime and will be passed down through generations. It\'s just got the retro long lasting, quality feel about it.'
