'The European Union (EU) has committed 12 million euros in support of FAO’s efforts to tackle rising hunger in strife-torn Yemen. Dominique Burgeon, FAO Director of Emergency and Rehabilitation Division explains the worsening food and livelihoods security in Yemen, FAO’s efforts to build the resilience of farmers and herders, and provide immediate agricultural support and efficient irrigation systems to more than 150 000 people to help them rapidly improve food production and nutrition.
