'This video presents the Country Statement to the 34th Session of the FAO Asia Pacific Regional Conference (APRC 34, 9-13 April 2018, Fiji) by Lionel Rouwen Aingimea, Head of Delegation and Minister Justice & Border Control, Multicultural Affairs, Public Service of Nauru. Nauru comments that the Conference is a unique opportunity to share experiences common to Small Island States and Nauru notes the decline of undernourishment and stunting in their region and this gain is seen as work towards the SDG. The CPF completed in August 2017 had a major success in a training component of agroforestry, nutrition and school catering. There is still much work to be done to fully realize the benefits of food sceurity. The CPF 2018-2022 has been signed the President. The Samoa Pathway will accelerate food security but Nauru would like the GAP to highlight the special challenges of climate change, lack of capacity and land degradation, drought and sea level rise. Almost 90% of the land is unproductive. One of the greatest challenges is to change people\'s lifestyles and Nauru challenges FAO to come up with creative ways to convince Nauruans to change their lifestyles.
