'My Sisters Labrador (Sasha) has been getting fat eating the cats food and the poor cats are losing weight :( Since Sasha is the leading lady in some of my productions I thought I should find a way to help her with her dieting by developing a Dog-Proof Cat Feeder! The early prototype started well but Sasha worked out how to get the loose cap off the top so I then added a secure screw on lid. The way it works is that dogs (apart from the tiny varieties) have almost double the paw width that cats have and the slots to the cat food are too narrow for a dogs paw but more than enough for a full size tabby. The cats paw out their meal and then more cat food comes down the hopper. Most cats won\'t overeat so it\'s generally safe to trust them with there own food. Finally, the hopper can take approximately 8 standard cat meals so if you go away the cats can feed themselves! The three cats all quickly worked out how to use it and now Sasha can get slim for Summer :D You can find this in my Thingiverse designs here:- https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2474131 You can see all my videos on my YouTube Channel, ScottyMakesStuff here:- https://www.youtube.com/channel/UChDeVchB6CCF--0wQQYNIhQ https://www.thingiverse.com/ScottyMakesStuff/designs https://twitter.com/ScottyMakesStuf https://www.instagram.com/scottymakesstuff/ Music by Joakim Karud http://youtube.com/joakimkarud'
