'Hello, This is Walk Together. I walked Myeongdong Street on weekend afternoon. Myeongdong used to have a lot of foreign tourists(majority of them are Chinese and Japanse) and local Korean are not their target. Since COVID-19 hits the world over 1 year, this mega shopping street became almost dead. But, still there are quite many people and street foods on the street since it was nice weather day weekend. But, it was definitely weird to see main streets with so many closed stores(for rent, many of them were cosmetic brands). If you come to Myeongdong on any weekday, what dead shopping area looks like. Even Line Friends Store has closed their store in Myeongdong. Itaewon and Myeongdong seem dead due to lack of visitors, but Hongdae and Gangnam are still busy. Walk Together 입니다. 오늘은 명동 근황 요청에 따라 주말 오후 거리를 걸어 보았습니다. 명동 상권이 죽었다는 말이 많은데, 날씨 좋은 주말 오후여서 그런지 꽤 많은 사람들이 명동거리를 다니고 있었습니다. 그리고, 완전이 죽었다는 느낌이 드는 평일과는 다르게 꽤 많은 노점상과 길거리 음식들도 거리에 나와서 판매를 하고 있었습니다. 하지만 중심거리에서조차 유명한 브랜드들이 대다수 문을 닫은 모습은 과거의 명동을 기억한다면 현재는 상상하기 힘든 풍경이 아닐까 싶습니다. 옆쪽 골목으로 가면 닫은 가게들이 훨씬 많아지는데, 특히 중국/일본 사람들을 타겟으로 했던 화장품 브랜드들은 대다수가 철수한 모습이었습니다. 뭐랄까, 사람들은 많이 돌아다니고 있지만, 과거같은 느낌은 아니랄까요? 이태원과 명동의 상권이 정말 죽어버린 느낌이라면, 홍대나 강남은 그래도 상대적으로 많은 걸 보면 아무래도 외국인들이 타겟인 곳들이 더 무너진 것 같습니다. 그럼 함께 걸어보실까요? ** 오늘은 목소리를 듣고 싶다는 요청에 따라(?) 한번 한국어와 영어를 섞어 보았습니다. 의식의 흐름에 따라 아무말 대잔치를 벌이는 만큼, 양해 부탁드리겠습니다. 아마 오늘이 처음이자 마지막 코멘트를 넣은 영상이 될거 같네요 ㅋㅋㅋ [Subscribe
