'Winter in Korea + Trying Korean Street Food in Myeongdong | Korea Part 1 TravelVlog'

13:36 Oct 14, 2021
'This video was filmed last February 2020 before Covid Outbreak started in Korea. Almost everything here looks pretty! Street food looks gourmet, university grounds are tourist spots, and historical sites are well-preserved! Here, I could step into a cosmetic store without anyone giving me judging stares. And yea, the whole time here, I was grateful. Many other attractions outside Seoul Capital Area are easily accessible if you want to do it DIY-style. Myeongdong. This is a shopping haven for shop-a-holics. Seoul’s main shopping district, dotted with boutiques and department stores. If you love shopping, stay here. Myeong-dong is also one of the best places to immerse yourself in some authentic and mouthwatering Korean street food. It’s tasty, delicious and available everywhere you look. Definitely the best place in Seoul for foodies. Myeongdong is an ideal place to be for trendsetters and global travelers. Nami Island, is a beautiful island that is among the most popular attractions in Korea. Featuring beautiful tree lanes, woodlands, riverside walks and many more, Nami Island offers picture-perfect scenery all year round. It is just surprising how this small island has it all. Nami Island is a half-moon shaped island in the middle of the Han River in Chuncheon. Foreigners are most familiar with it as the filming location of Winter Sonata, a Korean TV series (koreanovela) that became a hit all over Asia. Petit France, is a French-style cultural village or theme park in Gyeonggi Province, consisting of French-style beautiful buildings in South Korea. It is a small French village and was featured on many K-dramas and variety shows, if you are a K-drama or Variety shows lovers, you will recognize this place immediately. This place is often used to shoot famous shows, such as My Love from the Star, Running Man, Secret Garden, Beethoven Virus, etc. Garden of Morning Calm, the garden focuses on the country’s natural beauty and showcases floral arrangements and landscaped gardens built in harmony with the surroundings. Offering a picturesque setting, the garden has been used as a filming location for many Korean TV series, including the hit drama, “Moonlight Drawn by Clouds,” starred by Park Bo-gum and Kim Yoo-jung.    DIY Itin Part 1 - https://youtu.be/8FPPlSPrxA4 Day 1 (Feb15) - Arrival at 1140hr; Arrived at the hotel at 1500hrs; Free day. Took a rest for a bit, And explored Myeongdong, since the hotel we book is also in Myeongdong. It was all fun, food hopping, strolls and breathing the fresh air of korea. It was like saying Hi to Korea. Day 2 (Feb16) - It was a whole day fun of activities. We booked our trip through Klook. Its a three way destination. Went to Petit France, Nami Island as the second location, lastly the Garden of Morning Calm. I was left breathless of all the views, and sights my eyes has ever witnessed. Part 2 - https://youtu.be/IE7ZqSYL6Zc Day 3 (Feb17) - Free day; We decided to just have fun and explore the beautiful Korea. We ended up going to Coex Mall. And We literally got lost. Going the wrong way and riding the wrong bus. Little far but worth it. We learned to use their bus transportation and it was more than just fun. It\'s the experience that we will forever bring in our hearts. Day 4 (Feb18) - We booked this activity through Klook. Skiing for the first time. And it gives you so much fun. Winter trip will never be complete without a ski experience. You can’t buy happiness, but you can buy a ski pass. Its a must try. Day 5 (Feb 19) - Last day of the trip. Saving the best for last. We decided to do the hanbok rental on the last day, since we booked a red eye flight. So we had the whole day to stroll around and explore the city. South Korea has tons of hanbok rental shops for tourists — and as the name suggests, you can borrow and wear a hanbok for a day through these places while you venture out to the cultural centers in Seoul to make unique memories and snap wonderful photos. Have your hair styled for in an elegant updo reminiscent of Korea. There are many things to do in Seoul but my favorite activity by far was wearing a Hanbok around the city. It’s fun, it’s comfortable, it’s fancy and great for a photoshoot! Travel as much as you can. As far as you can. As long as you can. Life’s not meant to be lived in one place.
