'Here is a food tour of Osaka including street food, cafes, and more. Some of the food on this list are must-try food in Osaka! 1. Ichiran Ramen- there is a location in Dotonburi right by the water. It is a very popular location so I recommend going at an odd hour. We went at 11:30pm and still had to wait 40 minutes! I saw another location at the Shinsabashi shopping street that might have shorter lines. You order your ramen at the machine before entering, pay, and a ticket prints out. This is a very private dining experience and something you should not miss while in Japan or Osaka. The ramen is top notch and all together it is just an amazing experience. 2. Gyoza- this is the Japanese version of a dumpling. The place in Dotonburi with a huge gyoza on top of the building made great gyoza! I recommend visiting this place! 3. Takoyaki- this is octopus balls in a batter. The one I ate was in Americamura but I think Dotonburi has better Takoyaki! Definitely give it a try! 4. Kushikatsu- this was also an unforgettable experience. Kushikatsu is deep-fried just about anything. We ordered cheese, asparagus, bacon wrapped cheese, shrimp, steak, pork, sweet potato, and a few other items! The choices are endless and its so delicious. The sauce is community style so make sure not to double dip! 5. Yakisoba- just yes. 6. Melon Pan! OMG! MY favorite! This dessert was incredible and you seriously cannot bypass this! It is a warm, freshly baked melon bread with a big scoop of vanilla ice cream in the middle. There are other flavors but I went with the traditional one. The bread is so warm and soft and tastes like the perfect sugar cookie. The food truck is located right in the middle of Dotonburi, look for the green lights! 7. Gram. This pancake house has the fluffy pancakes you might have seen online before. By time we arrived, the fluffy pancakes were sold out! I was super said but ordered the classic pancakes and they were so delicious anyways! They paired very nicely with a slab of thick cut bacon and a latte! :) Gram is a chain so it can be found in a few spots, the location I went to was at Tennoji station exit 3. Located right outside the exit! 8. Butter Beer- If you are a Harry Potter fan you can\'t miss the opportunity to go to The Wizarding World of Harry Potter at Universal Studios. This is located at Universal City Station. The butter beer was super delicious! 9. Matcha Ice Cream- There is matcha flavored everything in Osaka. I actually don\'t love it but wanted to get a picture in front of Osaka Castle with the matcha ice cream. My advice is to get it right by the castle so it doesn\'t melt before you can take that perfect picture! There is a shop right by the castle so skip the one near the gate entrance! 10. Gudetama Cafe- This cafe was so cute and they actually are much more than a cafe. It was basically a restaurant and the food was surprisingly quite good! It is located right next to the big red ferris wheel on top of the Hep 5 building! Don\'t miss the ferris wheel while you are up there!
