'Asida is a dish made up of a cooked wheat flour lump of dough, sometimes with added butter or honey. Similar to gruel or porridge, it is eaten in many North African and Middle Eastern countries. It is considered one of the most popular desserts and traditional dish in many Arab countries. In Ethiopia it is called Genfo/ገንፎ - the only difference is, it is served with butter & spice blend (Berber) instead of just Butter or Honey.
