'BJP MLA Mihir Kotecha has alleged that about a thousand tonnes of chana dal sent by the Centre to the state fell in the government\'s warehouse and shop. If the consent department had been instructed to distribute these pulses in time, many families would have benefited today. Mihir Kotecha has also demanded an immediate inquiry into the negligence of the department and the resignation of the concerned Minister Chhagan Bhujbal. In 2020, as the prevalence of Kovid-19 increased in the state including India, a lockdown was imposed to control it. During this period many citizens lost their jobs, and many had to face big financial crisis. During the crisis, the central government had sent food grains to the poor across the country, including Maharashtra, under the \'Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Yojana\'. It also sent a large quantity of food grains for each family. After the distribution of food grains from the central government to the eligible ration cards, the citizens who did not take the food grains remained lying in the warehouses, shops of the state government and the food grains is now rotten and infested with insects. In the Mumbai suburbs, 300 tonnes of pulses from the central government are lying unattended in government warehouses and shops, most of which have been largely destroyed. It is literally infested with insects and is no longer usable. BJP MLA Mihir Kotecha has alleged that 1000 tonnes of gram have been damaged in the state.'
