'If your dog is motivated by food or perhaps used to using food dispensing toys already, this tutorial that I have produced with Barking Heads will show you just how to use their tasty treats to fill and ‘stuff’ a rubber food dispensing toy – something that can be quite simple when you know how but difficult if you don’t! Top tips include layering your toy with tasty food items to keep your dog interested as they play this game, providing new ‘scents’ and tastes along the way, as well as blocking the entry hole to the toy with something suitably sized – Barking Heads biscuit treats are great for this with the rubber food dispensing toy shown in the video! Don’t forget that if this approach seems too hard for your dog to begin with then either take a step back or fill your toy with more ‘smelly’ food items (such as the Barking Heads wet food!) to encourage them to have a go and enjoy the game. You can also take a step back and try the approach suggested for more fussy eaters in tutorial five. Let me know what you think in the comments below!
