'I finished seeding most of the food plots where I hunt in East Texas. I spread the seed on March 30th and luckily had a nice rain shortly after. I planted buckwheat as cover and smother crop for my summer blend. The buckwheat was broadcasted at a rate of 40 pounds per acre. This is the first time I\'ve planted a food plot using this method.
