'Buckwheat - NoTill Food Plot - 2 weeks after planting - for Deer

'Two weeks prior to filming this short video I took my standing Winter Rye Grain and crimped it over Buckwheat seed. (Take a look at my videos for that day/process) Then I went through my whole deer food plot and sprayed what was crimped with glyphosate to kill everything . Spraying like that is safe for UnGerminated seed.  This video shows what the growth is on the Buckwheat seed after two weeks and some light rain . You can see the crimp and spray killed the plot. You can also see the Buckwheat sprouting well !!  I will let the buckwheat grow all summer as my cover crop.  Then around Labor Day weekend crimp and spray that with all my fall food plot seed. This year I will be doing half the small plot with Brassica and other half with Winter Wheat & Rye Grains .  This should provide my deer with good unpressured  destination food plot for the fall .
