'In 2015, IDDBA embarked on a food safety initiative—Safe Food Matters!—to build industry awareness about food safety best practices and the food-borne illness listeriosis. Listeria monocytogenes is a deadly serious concern in retail food departments that can have devastating consequences on customers\' health and store operations. We will focus on best practices for decreasing the potential for Listeria growth or cross-contamination.'
