Since 2005, the food pyramid was reviewed and revised by the USDA making it not only understandable by adults but also by the kids too. It is a graphic version on the specific food groups that kids are required to eat in order to meet their physically demanding years that requires nutrients and vitamins. The food pyramid is generally for kids aged 6 and above. The Food Pyramid is a pyramid-shaped presentation that is filled with different colors that represents different food groups. Orange are grains Green for vegetables Red for fruit Blue for milk Yellow for oils or fats and Purple for meats and beans Each of the groups in the food pyramid should be consumed by a child daily so they can meet their nutritional requirement. For every food group, there is a list of information written below on the amount (or serving) of that specific food group they should eat each day. The foods on top of the pyramid are those that should be eaten in moderation and the foods at the lower part are those that should be regularly included in their meals.
