'On February 25, 2021, co-editors and authors of Black Food Matters: Racial Justice in the Wake of Food Justice, (2020, University of Minnesota Press, edited by Hanna Garth and Ashanté M. Reese) presented on this important book and its themes. Presenters were Dr. Hanna Garth, Dr. Analena Hope, Dr. Kimberly Kasper, Dr. Andrew Newman and Dr. Yuson Jung, who each presented on their chapters and engaged in a moderated panel discussion. Co-editor Garth began the event with a discussion of the focus of the book, and the connections with mutual aid work currently being led by co-editor Dr. Ashanté Reese. The online event was moderated by Dr. Kristin Reynolds and sponsored by The Food Studies Program and The Tishman Environment and Design Center at The New School.'
